Hallmark Christmas Movie Schedule and Planner Stickers

2022 Countdown to Christmas ~ Hallmark Christmas Movie Schedule and Planner Stickers are Here!

For a few years it appeared that Hallmark forgot about how much we enjoyed Planning out our Hallmark Christmas Movie Schedule with a printable schedule and now it is only available via an “App.” If you’re anything like me, I steer clear of Apps as much as possible. Plus, I’m an old-fashioned Paper Girl. I love my Planners and Planner Stickers!!!

So, continuing in the spirit, I have prepared many options for you to add to your Planner this year!!!

Handmade Shoppers Update

A note to my friends… (part 4 ~ Handmade Shopper Friends)

Well, we’re almost finished with July. Where does the time go?

It has been VERY warm here in Northern California and I have been inside with the air conditioning on most of the time. However, when I play outside, there needs to be some water involved, because it is HOT. So, I’ve spent a little bit of time in the pool and have taken a couple river rafting trips!!!!

American River Rafting

Spending time on the river is my favorite thing to do, so I may be going again tomorrow! Crossing my fingers….

How are you holding up? Are you dealing with the heat? What do you do when you need to get out of the house and what type of activities are you enjoying this summer? I feel very limited in what we are allowed to do right now ~ So what is making this summer FUN for you? Please share in a comment or even send me a personal email. We need to share some good ideas amIright?

Now we’ve made it to Part 4 of my series of notes. Today is for my Handmade Shopper Friends!

First, here is a recap of where we’ve been, and what is still coming:
1.    Planner Friends Read Here
2.    Crafty Friends Read Here
3.    My Handmade Shoppers ~ Today, Read Below
4.    My Stampin’ Up! Shoppers ~ Still to come
5.    My Giveaway Subscribers and Winners!! ~ Still to come…

Now, just for you My Handmade Shoppers…

My little factory is still in business and I appreciate everyone who has stopped by to buy a Handmade Candle or two. I make small items in large batches, so when my handmade products are released to my shop they don’t last long. Large batches for this girl are usually 20-40 products at a time. Candles for instance take multiple days for me to prep and pour and I typically make 4-6 different scents, with only 8-12 candles per scent. After each scent has cured I will package them and work on the next scent, so it is a big time commitment. Each collection is made with patience and love.

Some great news ~ my Summer Dreams Collection is going to be launched in just a few days! I hope you’re excited ~ Because I am thrilled! Stay tuned for additional details coming soon.

Some even better news is all of the amazing products I have been working on! I have been a creative, crafting, crazy person! I’ve designed and made prototypes, sent samples to family and friends and you are in for some amazing new products.

What are they you ask? Well, here are a couple ideas for you to ponder: Decorative Pillow Covers, Cosmetic Bags, Stickers, Die Cuts, Bookmarks, Templates for Crafting, more Planner Printables and much, much more!

Stay tuned and I know you’re going to LOVE all the new goodies!!

Thank you for all of your encouragement, feedback and support! It truly means the world to me when I hear from you, so don’t be shy…

Crafty Friends Update

A note to my friends… (part 3 ~ Crafty Friends)

Hello Crafty Friends!

I hope you’re enjoying my updates this week. I have to say it has been really fun for me. I’m enjoying sharing with you and in return, a couple of you have reached out to say hello, share a smiley face and even drop me an email. I am loving the feeling of connecting with you. Isn’t that what we all need right now?

Mostly, I thank you for participating, peeking your little head in to respond back and let me know we are in this together!

So, today is Part 3 in my little series of notes to you and I’m saying a specific hello today to all of my Crafty Friends! If you missed Part 1 you can read it here. Part 2 can be read here.

So my Crafty Friends…

What can I share with you today? Well, first let’s figure out who I mean by Crafty Friends. To me, the Crafty Friends may just be the BEST. Shhhh… don’t tell the others, I may be playing favorites 😊 However, to me, the CRAFTY ones are probably the most similar to me. We love crafting just to CRAFT. We make a little bit of everything AmIRight?! We are not just addicted to paper, planners, stickers, sewing, journaling, etc. We like to dip our hands into anything we can find!

Crafty Friends

Crafty Friends can paint, sew, make cards, iron on stuff, use Mod Podge, staple things, photograph people, journal, Bible study, make soap, have Golden Scissors, probably have 15 different types of adhesive (for all occasions,) cut wood, use machines like Cricut, Silhouette, laminators, use foils, lots of sticker paper, may wear an apron, sometimes even goggles, and may have lost the feeling in the tips of their fingers from that darned glue gun!

Are you with me? We have “war wounds” from our crafty adventures, we have bled for our art (even if it was only a paper cut, it counts!)

My committment to you…

So, with you Crafty Friends, fellow warriors, here is my renewed commitment to you. I will be sharing more crafting tutorials on my YouTube Channel. This is one I have struggled with for a long time… but I figured now is the time. Get over it and just do it. So stay tuned for more of those to come along with easy to follow PDF tutorials you can save for your next crafting session.

Some of the projects I have coming up include:
Wall Art – using sticker paper
Mini Albums – for photos, memory keeping and even sticker storage
Planner Pages, Meal Planning and Planner Organization
Card Making Tutorials
Making Your Own Templates for Projects
And so much more!

I hope you’re excited and please give me a little shout out to let me know you’re here! Wave hello…

Starts TODAY ~ 10pm EST or 7pm PDT, July 15

If you’re not familiar with shopping HSN.com (Home Shopping Network) well, I have some great news for you! It seems back in the day, televised shopping channels were more of an annoyance, silly items that only your grandmother would consider buying. Over the years I’ve found much respect and LOVE for HSN.com and QVC.com. Sister stations that have evolved into something quite fun, with amazing prices on products I love! Did they truly evolve or am I just closer to my grandmother’s age? Hmmmm…

Anyhow, every few months, it seems quarterly now, HSN hosts an amazing 24 Hour Craft Day event. They have great prices, exclusive bundles you cannot find anywhere else and some of our favorite and most popular brands for crafting.

HSN 24 Hour Craft Event

  • There is always a Today’s Special that is the best price and usually a bundle of great products.

  • HSN offers Flex-Pay, which is like “layaway” with no interest or fees and the item ships to you immediately, while you can make payments over time, often up to 6 months.
  • During their 24 Hour Craft Day Events you save a TON on shipping!!! Anything you order will be shipped for $5. That’s it. Even if you submit several different orders, as many items as you like, everything ships for one flat rate of $5 (assuming you complete your orders within the hours of the event.)

Making Masculine Birthday Cards

My Dad’s Birthday is coming up and it is time to make him a nice card. This year his Birthday falls on Thanksgiving! It is not too often that this happens, so it is a special year.

I thought since I would have all of my card making tools out I would take some photos and share my final product with you. I actually made two identical cards, because it never fails that I will make a mistake somewhere along the way, and if by chance I get it all right the first time, well, now I have an additional masculine birthday card to keep on hand for another upcoming birthday.

So here we go!

Botanical Bliss

I used the Botanical Bliss paper pad by Craft Smith that was in my recent Michael’s haul. Can you believe this paper pad is originally $19.99, and I picked it up last week for only $4.79!!! Super sweet deal right?!

My inspiration for this card was from Connie Stewart. She recently posted a YouTube video for a “With Sympathy Tri-Fold Card” that gave me the idea for how I would set up this card. Thank you Connie!! Here is a link to her video if you missed it:   https://youtu.be/N2o9zTc54Js

See the full list of materials used at the bottom of this post.

Here are the measurements for my card:

Brown Cardstock – 6 ⅜” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 2 ⅛”
Green Cardstock with Gold Polka Dots – 8” x 5 ¼”, score and fold at 4”
Tan Pattern Cardstock – 3 x 3” (before die cutting)
Woodgrain Cardstock – 3 ½ x 3 ½” (before die cutting)
Botanical Cardstock – 2” x 5 ⅜”
Botanical Cardstock – ½” x 5 ¼”

Envelope measurements:

Light Brown Cardstock – 8 1/8 x 8 1/8”
Punched and scored with the We R Memory Keepers Punch Board

Masculine Birthday Card Pieces

How I Assembled the Masculine Birthday Card:

So, after cutting out each of the paper pieces I used a square die and my Cuttlebug machine to die cut the light 3 x 3″ squares and the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2″ squares. I then used distress ink to smudge the edges and folds of each piece.

I then pulled out my “it’s Your Birthday” stamp and stamped with VersaMark watermark stamp pad to emboss the birthday sentiment. I then sprinkled with Inkadinkado embossing powder in Black Metallic and heat set it.

I then used the leaf stamp to emboss with Inkadinkado’s Copper embossing powder.

The rest was just attaching all the pieces together. I used my Pink Scotch ATG gun to adhere each piece and some X-Press It foam mounting tape to adhere the It’s Your Birthday 3 x 3″ square to the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2″ wood grain cardstock for some dimension, kind of a 3D look.

That’s it! Very easy and a fun little project for a Sunday afternoon.

So, what do you think?

Halloween Planning

Happy Halloween

Well, I’m feeling a little behind in my Happy Planner updates, but have finally finished creating my November monthly spread and yesterday I finished my weekly spread for this week. I have been having a blast creating my own stickers on my Cricut Maker and some of the free artwork I have found is just adorable!

Weekly Planner Spread 20171030

This Weekly spread features Halloween artwork from Sky Ashcraft and you can find her at @MyLifePlanners on Instagram and @My Life Planners Freebies on Facebook. Thank you Sky for sharing your work with us!

Monthly Planner Spread 20171101The Monthly spread features artwork from Victoria Thatcher and you can find her at @VictoriaThatcher on Instagram and www.VictoriaThatcher.com  She has an AMAZEBALLS library of free printables and I love her work!!!!  Thanks Victoria!

So, do you make your own stickers for your planners? Anybody else having a love affair with their Cricut Maker, Explore or similar? It seems to me that most “Sticker Designers” use the Silhouette, but I am loving the Cricut and think the quality is the same.

What are your thoughts on this? Please share in the comments below, how you make your own stickers, if you do. And if you do, what are your biggest challenges?

Thanks for visiting and I have some free printables coming soon!!!
